The transition time for young persons with disabilities takes planning to review and help students successfully move from school into the adult world. This session will discuss the role of AT in that process, including specific AT skills students need to know. It will also review the Americans with Disabilities Act and the rights and responsibilities parents, professionals, and individuals should understand. Examples of AT in a variety of adult settings will be demonstrated as well as resource tools.
This webinar is free and is presented by Janet Peters, Great Lakes ADA Center and Cindy Tarshish, ADA MN.
The session is sponsored by the Minnesota Department of Education.
