This year on 7 April 2021 marks the observance of World Health Day. Created by the World Health Organization (WHO), this year’s campaign is “Building a fairer, healthier world.” The theme for the campaign was born directly out of the gross inequalities that the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted in our world. The right to good health and stable resources should not be contingent on one’s class, income, gender, cultural background, etc. The WHO is “calling on leaders to ensure that everyone has living and working conditions that are conducive to good health. At the same time [urging] leaders to monitor health inequalities, and to ensure that all people are able to access quality health services when and where they need them.” If you’d like to learn more about this observance and this year’s campaign, check out the official page. Best wishes to all for continued good health!
