Purchasing Options

Computer Specifications–it takes a powerful computer to run voice-recognition or it will lag between when a word is spoken and when it is typed out.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking

  • Professional Version (most expensive and needed in a work environment)
  • Medical Version (expensive, used for certain fields as nonmedical dictation will be at only a 20% accuracy level, must have a powerful computer with ample RAM)
  • Premium Version (used with most applications for home or work with a high performance in accuracy and built in commands)
  • Home Edition (provides dictation to your email and word processing but less accuracy and not many commands for it outside of the standard voice commands)
  • Dragon for Mac (less accuracy and poor hands-free potential)

Windows Computer Recommendations

  • 4-6 GB of RAM
  • Clockspeed above 2.2 GHz
  • 4-6 USB ports
  • CD-RW if not downloading from the Internet

Accessories (Optional)

  • InSync Buddy Microphone (Hands-Free Desktop Model Available through Microphones.com)
  • Dragon Manual Available through Amazon, Nuance, or Courage Kenny
  • Training Video Available through Amazon.com
